The Turkish registry is releasing .tr domain names on the 2nd level –> name.tr
.Tr is currently in sunrise. Owners of .xxx.tr (e.g. bmw.com.tr) domain names that were registered before August 25th, 2023 may apply for the corresponding .tr domain name (bmw.tr). Applications have to be received by May 14th, 2024.
Only the same owner of a domain name can register the matching .tr.
Domains are assigned based in this order since there is several 3rd level options:
.kep.tr ➜ .av.tr ➜ .dr.tr ➜ .com.tr ➜ .org.tr ➜ .net.tr ➜ .gen.tr ➜ .web.tr ➜ .name.tr ➜ .info.tr ➜ .tv.tr ➜ .bbs.tr ➜ .tel.tr
All applications are reviewed until June 14th, 2024. At a later stage the remaining names will be released on a first-come-first-served basis.
