Unter .COM sind weltweit unter allen TLDs die meisten Domains registriert (nach aktuellen Zahlen von Verisign ca 97 Mio. der insgesamt ~210Mio Domains) - kein Wunder, keine TLD ist global so prestigeträchtig und universell nutzbar.
