The objection phase ended on 13th March 2013. The Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) has been in operation since 26th March 2013. Since March 23rd new gTLD applicants have received positive responses regarding their applications ("pass"). Evaluation of all applications happens in the order as drawn on the Prioritization Draw. The first TLDs to be evaluated are approx. 110 IDN TLDs before the Latin strings will be looked at.

From November 2013 on new TLDs entered the market, new ones starting per week. With a total 1,500 applications this is expected to last well into 2014 or into 2015. Go-to-market is dependent on technical implementation and testing, signing a contract with ICANN and possible objections.

For everyone speculating on their own TLD: A next round of applications is not expected before the year 2015.
